About the Photo Contest
Erie Canalway conducts a yearly photo contest to capture the beauty, history, people, and distinctive character of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor.

This year, judges selected twelve winners from 525 entries submitted by 138 photographers from seven states. First, second and third place photographs, as well as twelve honorable mentions, were chosen in each of four contest categories:

  • Bridges, Buildings, and Locks
  • On the Water
  • For the Fun of It
  • The Nature of the Canal

Congratulations to all of our contest winners and thank you to everyone who entered! We look forward to 2010!
