H. Lee White Maritime Museum
Housed in a 1920's grain elevator complex on the Oswego Harbor's west side pier, the museum's exhibits focus on the history of the Oswego harbor and Lake Ontario. Tour dry-docked Derrick Boat #8 and WWII-era U.S. Army LT-5 tugboat mid-May through September. visit site >>

| Oswego Public Library Constructed in 1855 with funds donated by Gerrit Smith, noted abolitionist, prohibitionist, and businessman. The library is built in the "Norman" style, with towers, corbels, and crenellated battlements reflecting those of a medieval castle. Now on the National Register of Historical Places, the building is one of the oldest libraries built in New York State to serve continuously as a library. visit site >> |
