Cayuga and Seneca Lakes are renowned for excellent trout and bass fishing, windsurfing, scuba diving, boating, and swimming. This region also offers some of the best hiking and biking found in New York State.
Boating Rivers and streams within the Corridor are well suited for motorized vessels, as well as kayaks, canoes, and other small non-motorized boats.
Fishing Rivers provide important habitat for the state's fisheries, drawing many anglers, especially during salmon runs on the Oswego and Genessee Rivers. Trout, walleye, and steelhead are found in smaller rivers and streams.
Cayuga Lake Scenic Byway This NYS Scenic Byway loop around Cayuga Lake connects many sites of historic significance, scenic beauty, and recreational value.

Finger Lakes Cayuga and Seneca Lakes are the only two Finger Lakes within the Corridor. The Canal Corporation maintains navigation lanes along the length of each lake, connecting Ithaca (Cayuga Lake) and Watkins Glen (Seneca Lake) to the Cayuga-Seneca Canal and the rest of the system. Excellent fishing, boating, and sailing opportunities.
